The Paranormal Precision Bass® Thinline SJ reimagines the original Fender® bass guitar as a resonant, semi-hollow tone machine loaded with an unconventional SJ pickup combination: a Fender-Designed alnico single-coil '51 P Bass® pickup in the neck position paired with a Fender-Designed alnico single-coil Jazz Bass® pickup at the bridge. Connected through a 3-way blade switch, this unique pairing delivers everything from the deep, thumping warmth of the original Precision Bass to the focused, growling bite of a Jazz Bass, and everywhere in between. The thinline semi-hollow body construction adds natural acoustic resonance and reduced weight for enhanced playability. Other player-friendly details include a comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile, a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge with slotted barrel saddles, a satin urethane neck finish, and vintage-style open-gear tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning.
